A rare and singularly elegant model 1101 cocktail table by Gio Ponti for Singer & Sons. Italy, early 1950s. Solid walnut base with brass sabots and original glass top. The glass has original, irregularly spaced impressions around one half of the circumference, a sign of authenticity. Stamped "Made Italy" on each sabot. Upon request at the time you place your order, we will replace the glass at no charge. These are sometimes attributed to Giordano Chiesa, but we doubt that attribution.
